Duplication of the existing single line between Blackwater and Burngrove has been identified in capacity modelling by QR Network Access as part of an optimum series of track duplications. This enhancement, together with additional trains, will increase the Blackwater System capacity. 

This project will increase infrastructure capability by duplicating approximately 9 km of track between Blackwater and Burngrove.
