This project involves constructing a second track between Caboolture and Beerburrum, and upgrading two stations:  Elimbah and Beerburrum.

  • Start Date: Jul 2006
  • End Date: Late 2008
  • Track length: 13.7km
  • New road: 4.8km realigned
  • Bridges: 4 rail, 1 road-over-rail

Construction started in July 2007 and is anticipated to be complete by late 2008.  Major construction milestones include:

  • Early designs and surveys - Jul to Nov 2006
  • Detailed design - Sept 2006 to Sept 2007
  • Earthworks -  March 2007 to July 2008
  • Bridge construction -  April 2007 to September 2008
  • Construct Beerburrum station -  October 2007 to early-2009
  • Construct Elimbah Station -  November 2007 to early 2009
  • Track laying - May 2008 to December 2008
