The Coordinator-General, QR and Main Roads have devised an innovative solution for the delivery of two major transport projects listed in the current South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan.
Duplication of the Centenary Highway and a new passenger railway to Springfield will be combined and contractors engaged early to plan the project for fast-track delivery. The two projects will use the same corridor to Springfield and costs can be saved by combining the construction contracts.
John Holland Construction have been appointed in an Interim Project Alliance with QR and Main Roads, to fast-track final feasibility and be ready for construction to begin in early 2007.
